Reconstruction from US-127 to Francis Street. Approximately 1.5 miles.
The project will involve removal of the existing roadway and underlying concrete pavement, replacement of water main and storm sewer, and installation of new road base and pavement, new curbs, and pedestrian accommodations.
Special grant funding administered by the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development.
The purpose of the project is to provide a safe means of travel for vehicles, pedestrians, and non-motorized traffic.
Phase I construction began on April 27, 2020, and completed in August. Phase II is scheduled to begin in early June and completed in November.
