The Jackson County Animal Shelter would like to remind pet owners to take precautions with their pets during the Fourth of July celebrations. This is their busiest time of year for stray dogs enter the shelter, some of which may be due to animals hiding away from fireworks displays, shows and other visual effects that can terrify an animal.
It is important to know if your pet is sensitive to these noises and to take precautions. Read this press release for tips from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) on how to help your pet calm down and ways to keep them safe from danger.
