Michigan Safe Start Plans

MI Safe Start

Michigan Safe Start

This Michigan Safe Start Plan comprehensive assessment outlines how we will begin to re-engage while continuing to keep our communities safe. Re-engagement will happen in phases. Those businesses that are necessary to protect and sustain life are already open. As we move into lower-risk phases, additional business categories will re-open and the restrictions on public gatherings and social interactions will ease.

MDHHS issues Emergency Order updating gathering definitions, capacity restrictions, mask requirements and worker protections. These factsheets can help further clarify what this EO means. Open the one-pager or the longer "two-pager."

The Michigan Safe Schools Roadmap provides required and strongly recommended safety protocols to keep school communities safe based on the status of the coronavirus. Additionally, the Roadmap provides recommendations across mental and social-emotional health, instruction, and operations within each phase of the MI Safe Start Plan, to support all schools in Michigan as they continue their return to school planning work and move towards implementation. Addtional resources include: Michigan Safe Schools Roadmap Talking Points and Michigan Safe Schools Questions and Answers.

MI Safe Start Map is an online dashboard that visually illustrates COVID-19 risks and trends in Michigan, providing residents with important information about the pandemic status where they live and work.
