Request a Video

In January of 2007, the 4th Circuit Court and the Jackson County Probate Court converted from a videotape recording system to a digital video recording system. The previous procedures in place for ordering or viewing a videotape remain in place.

1. Complete Request Form

In order to obtain a copy of a digital video recording per Local Administrative Order, you must be a party to the case, contact the Clerk's Office:

County Clerk

Physical Address
312 S. Jackson Street
120 W. Michigan Ave
Jackson, MI 49201

Phone: 517-788-4268 (Court Services)

Fax: 517-788-4601 (Court Services)

2. Coordinating the Request Between Offices

When the Judge's office has been notified that a digital video record has been requested and paid for, the request will be given to the Court Officer. If the Court Officer is unavailable, the request will be given to the Court Clerk or the Judge's Secretary.

3. Copies & View-ability

The staff will make a copy of the digital video hearing on a USB Thumb Drive.  The USB Thumb Drive can only be viewed or heard on a Windows-based computer. The software to play the video will be included on the USB. The USB is only viewable on a Windows-based computer.
