At the Youth Center we partner with many agencies to provide services for our youth. Below, you will find information about all of our partners with links to their websites.


  • Youth Arts Alliance!:  

    A four-county art collaborative in Southeast Michigan.  The project developed out of a commitment made by facility administrators to find more ways to color the black and white landscape that youth face in the Juvenile Justice System.  Youth Arts Alliance! believes that involvement in the arts through weekly workshops, facilitates personal growth and increased connections to the community. https://youthartsalliance.com
  • Integro:  

    Provides behavioral healthcare services to residents at Jackson County Youth Center.  Services range from outpatient clinical services to comprehensive home-based services for adolescents and their families. http://integroservicesmi.com
  • Center For Family Health:  

    Serving the Jackson County and the surrounding area with quality primary health care.  Jackson County Youth Center residents receive healthcare within 7 days of admittance. https://www.centerforfamilyhealth.org/
  • YMCA:  

    A community wellness center providing programs that focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. The YMCA facility features a fitness center with Precor, Cybex and NuStep equipment, free weight room, boxing room, two group exercise studios, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, indoor track, locker rooms with steam room, sauna and massage and courts for squash, racquet ball, paddle ball and handball. https://www.ymca.org/
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters

    The oldest, largest, and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. https://www.bbbs.org/
  • Jackson County Intermediate School District

    An educational service agency that works in partnership with Jackson County Youth Center providing educational leadership, services, programs, and resources.  JCISD has 3 teachers within the Jackson County Youth Center that instruct residents in all areas of education. https://www.jcisd.org/
  • Aware Shelter

    Presenting residents with information about dating violence and developing a safety plan. https://www.awareshelter.org/
  • Planned Parenthood
  •  Delivering comprehensive sex education that empowers all people to make informed choices and lead healthy lives. This program provides youth with honest sexuality and relationship information in classrooms to help reduce our nation's alarmingly high rates of unintended teen pregnancies as well as sexually transmitted infections. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/
  • Breakout Drug Education Program
  • Positively impacting the continuing and growing problem of substance use and abuse among adolescents in Jackson County.  The Breakout Drug Education Program curriculum is designed to engage students through the use of visual aids, multi-media presentations, games, role-playing, and group work.  The curriculum is presented to students in eight consecutive sessions.  The focus of each lesson plan is to teach students about health risks associated with alcohol and other drug use, understanding coping skills, how to resist pressures to use alcohol and other drugs, how to make healthy choices, and how to avoid risky situations. www.strong-families.org  

  • Rise Above
    Giving HOPE to high school students trapped in generational poverty and those burdened by unsupported academics through education, credit recovery programs, job training, and character development.  Offering literacy programs for teens residing in the Jackson County Youth Center. https://www.riseabovejxn.org/
  • American 1 Credit Union
    Committed to providing financial education programs through the Partners in Education Vault Program.  The Vault program offers activities, games, and financial literacy lessons to engage and educate students on a variety of career development and life skill topics. https://www.american1cu.org/
  • Jackson District Library
    Jackson District Library's Outreach Services Program delivers library materials and provides library services to residents at Jackson County Youth Center. http://myjdl.com/
  • MSU Extention
    Cooking Matters for Teens is a program that is made just for teens to learn about healthy eating and cooking.  This program consists of six lessons.  A nutrition professional provides interactive lessons to help teens build skills and confidence in making healthy meals. https://www.canr.msu.edu/outreach/
  • Smiles On Wheels: 
    Eligible residents at Jackson County Youth Center receive monthly dental care, including examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-rays, fillings, sealants, the necessary anesthetic, and if necessary, extraction of teeth. https://smilesonwheels.org/
